President Dr Mohamed Waheed assured that he would adhere to the constitution and rule of law, despite the challenges and obstacles being faced in carrying out his duties as President. The President made this remark while speaking to the people of Innamaadhoo of Raa Atoll, as a part of his visit to the island.
In his speech, the President stated that as we adopt the changes brought to our country, our priorities should lie with protecting our religion and nationalism. President Waheed also said that we must all work towards establishing peace and unity in our society, and called upon everyone to make our country crime free.
In his speech, the President highlighted the importance of providing our children proper upbringing and quality education, in order to build a society which respects the rules and regulation of the country.
