President appoints an Ambassador to the EU

President Mohamed Nasheed has today appointed Mr Adam Hassan as the Ambassador and the Head of the Mission of the Maldives to the European Union.

Following the presentation of the Letter of Appointment, President Nasheed urged Mr Hassan to work to further strengthen the relations between the Maldives and the EU, and to facilitate EU assistance to the Maldives, especially in the areas related to climate change mitigation and adaptation.
