Ambassador of the United States accredited to the Maldives Ms Michele J. Sison has today paid a courtesy call on President Dr Mohamed Waheed.
At the meeting held at the President’s Office, discussions were held on the challenges being faced in Maldivian politics, and ways to tackle those challenges.
The President briefed the Ambassador on the measures being taken by the government, to ensure the security and safety in the Maldives.
Ambassador Sison strongly condemned the recent assassination of Parliament Member Dr Afrasheem Ali, and extended her deepest condolences to the bereaved family.
