Ambassador of Denmark accredited to the Maldives Mr Freddy Svane has today paid a courtesy call on President Dr Mohamed Waheed.
At the meeting held at the President’s Office, discussions were held on the importance of staying on the path of democracy, while respecting human rights and upholding the rule of law.
Discussions were also had on the environmental issues being faced in the islands of the Maldives, and the immediate counter measures needed.
At the meeting, the President reiterated the government’s full commitment to democracy.
