Mr Ismail Naseer, who had served in the government for a very long time, has passed away last evening at the age of 77 after a prolonged illness, at Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital.
President Mohamed Nasheed paid a visit of condolence to the grieving family, today.
The late Mr Ismail Naseer had held numerous posts at various government offices. He also served as a member of the People's Majlis for a long time.
The late Mr Ismail Naseer was survived by three daughters and six sons.
