President Dr Mohamed Waheed has expressed his confidence that the islands of Madaveli and Hoan’dedhdhoo of Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll would be connected. The President made this remark while addressing the people of Madaveli this morning. He also said that the work would be carried out in an environmentally friendly way, with extreme precaution to prevent damage to the islands.
Revealing that the development of the Madaveli harbour would be included in next year’s budget, President Waheed conveyed his hopes for the establishment of a drinking water and sewerage system in Madaveli and Hoan’dedhdhoo.
