The cabinet has today decided to develop the artificial beach area of Male’ in to an urban park, with better facilities for the youth and the general public. The decision was made at the cabinet meeting held today, following discussions on a paper presented by the Ministry of Housing and Infrastructure regarding the matter.
In this regard, it was decided to develop the area in a way that would cater families and people of all ages, with more recreational and sporting facilities, and fast food outlets.
At today’s meeting of the cabinet, members highlighted the importance to begin the developmental work immediately; stressing that it was a vital step towards improving the societal standards in Male’.
