The high-level delegation from Turkmenistan has today met with President Dr Mohamed Waheed. The meeting was held this afternoon at the President’s Office.
The head of the visiting delegation is the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, Hojamuhammet Muhammedov. Some of the other members of the Turkmen cabinet also attended the meeting.
President Waheed expressed his pleasure on their visit to the Maldives, and conveyed his good wishes to the Turkmen President.
At the meeting, discussions were held on industries on which the economy depended on, in both countries. The President and the Turkmen delegation noted the importance of sharing the experiences in this field, with one another.
The Turkmen delegation thanked the President for the warm reception and hospitality provided by the Maldives. They also expressed their hopes that this visit would boost relations between the Maldives and Turkmenistan.
Senior staff at the President’s Office and some cabinet ministers were in attendance at the meeting.
