Members of Thaa Hirilandhoo Island Council have today met with President Dr Mohamed Waheed. The meeting was held at the President’s Office this afternoon.

At the meeting, members informed the President on the general welfare of the people, and the challenges being faced in providing utility services in the island.

At the meeting, President Waheed enquired on the progress of the development projects underway in Hirilandhoo. Discussions were also held on ways to further improve the economy of the island.

President Waheed assured the council members that their issues would be looked into, and that necessary measures would be taken in solving them. The President also expressed his good wishes for a brighter future for the people of the island.
