President Dr Mohamed Waheed has appointed Sheikh Mohamed Latheef and Uz Haisham Mohamed as Imams at the Masjid-al-Sultan Muhammad Thakurufaanu Al Auzam. The appointments were made at the level of Deputy Minister.
Sheikh Mohamed Latheef is a graduate of Imam Muhammad ibn Saud Islamic University of Saudi Arabia; and Uz Haisham Mohamed is a graduate of Al-Azhar University of Egypt.
