German Ambassador pays farewell call on President Waheed

Ambassador of Germany accredited to the Maldives Jens Plötner has paid a farewell call on President Dr Mohamed Waheed.

At the meeting held at the President’s Office this morning, President Waheed spoke on the measures being taken by the government in combating the challenges faced economically and politically after the transfer of Presidential power on 7 February. Further, the President briefed Ambassador Plötner on the progress of the National Inquiry Commission.

At the meeting, the German Ambassador said that outcomes of the measures taken by the government seem quite positive.
