President Mohamed Nasheed has participated at a farewell function held by People’s Majlis for the outgoing Members of the 16th People’s Majlis constituted on 27 February 2005.
At last evening’s function held at the People’s Majlis, President Nasheed presented a commemorative plaque by the People’s Majlis, to the outgoing Speaker of the Majlis Mohamed Shihab.
Certificates were also presented to all the Members who served in the outgoing Majlis.
Vice President Dr Mohamed Waheed also participated at the function.
