President Dr Mohamed Waheed has urged all MNDF personnel to abide by their oath. He made this appeal while speaking at the oath taking ceremony of the graduates of the 56th basic training course conducted by the Defence Institute for Training of MNDF.
In his speech, President Waheed said the MNDF personnel should always demonstrate a high sense of integrity and moral character in their professional and personal life.
He also encouraged them to always remember the army’s core values – to stay steadfast in Islamic principles, selfless service and to maintain the rule of law.
Speaking in this regard, the President stressed that the important role of MNDF in protecting the sovereignty and independence of the country.
