UAE’s former Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Mohammed Al Shaali has paid a courtsey call on President Dr Mohamed Waheed.
During the meeting held at the President’s Office this morning, the President briefed the former State Minister on the current political situation in the Maldives. The President also spoke on the progress of his efforts to form a national unity government. The President stressed that this was an opportunity to consolidate democracy in the Maldives. President Waheed also highlighted the challenges faced in stabilising the fiscal state of the country.
The former State Minister conveyed his well wishes to the Maldives, and explored possibilities to assist the Maldives in areas of development.
