President Dr Mohamed Waheed, who is currently on a tour to Laamu atoll, has called for unity and solidarity among the people in order to overcome the social, political, and economic challenges that the
country is facing now. He made the statement on Saturday while addressing the people of Maabaidhoo of Laamu atoll.
President said if the people could prioritise national and island interests over their differences and work together, current challenges could be easily addressed. He added his policy was working with others towards a better developmental path.
In his address, President Waheed also assured that despite the challenges, the government would continue to provide all necessary public services for the people without any disruption.
