The President’s Office today conducted an orientation seminar aimed for political appointees. Today’s seminar was attended by Cabinet Ministers, State Ministers and senior appointees at the President’s Office. A similar seminar for Deputy Ministers and other political appointees will be held next week.
The main objectives of the seminar are to provide information on:
- the government’s administrative structure
- the main policies of the government
- code of ethics for political appointees
- ways to prevent corruption
- ways to engage with civil servants
- due diligence requirements in financial transactions
Presentations at the seminar are given by technical staff from the President’s Office, Civil Service Commission, Ministry of Finance and Treasury and the Anti-Corruption Commission.
