Addressing the people of Foakiadhoo, President Dr Mohamed Waheed has said that he would work to restore calm and peace in the country. He said he took office to bring the much needed political stability and progress to the country.
Stressing that he would treat all citizens equally, the President said he would be inclusive of all citizens regardless of their political affiliation.
Furthermore, the President said, he remained steadfast in moving forward and noted that a majority of the people supported his government.
In his speech, the President also focused on some of the developmental projects planned for the island.
