President Mohamed Nasheed has today met with the Sri Lankan Minister of Sports and Public Recreation Mr Gamini Lokuge.
Discussions were on cooperating in the field of sports, including development of cricket and a cricket field in the Maldives.
On other issues discussed, the President said the Maldives was happy that the conflict in Sri Lanka was over. He expressed his confidence in the Sri Lankan government’s treatment of the internally displaced persons after the conflict.
