President Dr Mohamed Waheed this morning met with the delegates from European Union. The meeting was held this morning at the President’s Office.
Discussions at the meeting were focused on the current political climate in the country.
The President said that his key priority was to restore the peace and order in the country. He also reaffirmed his commitment to the constitution and the rule of law in the Maldives.
Referring to the composition of his cabinet, President Waheed said he was committed to form a National Unity that is fully inclusive. He added that he would offer appropriate representation to all political parties, including MDP.
The members of the EU delegation stressed the importance of equal representation of all political parties in the new government.
