President Mohamed Nasheed who is also the Chief Scout, today presented Warrant of Appointment certificates to the National Scout Council and National Scout Executive Committee. The function was held this morning at the President’s Office.
Speaking at the function, President Nasheed emphasized the importance of the scout movement. He said the scout values are important contribution to help build a better society where people are self-fulfilled as individuals and play a constructive role in the society.
Vice President Dr Mohamed Waheed also spoke at the function. The Vice President is also the President of the Scout Association. In his speech, the
Dr Waheed spoke on the need to broaden the scout movement in the Maldives.
