Vice President Dr Mohamed Waheed inaugurates a five-day management audit workshop, jointly organized by the government, Civil Service Commission and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), today.

The main purpose of the workshop is to develop professional trainers to undertake management auditing at government offices. The workshop will teach how to assess organizational performance, quality of services delivery, and whether institutions are achieving their goals.

Speaking at the workshop, the Vice President said the workshop was an important step towards public sector reform in the Maldives.

He said it was the responsibility of the government to improve organizational performance and service delivery of government institutions so that the government functions according to people’s aspirations.

The workshop, which is being held at the seminar room of the Civil Service Commission, is led by Dr Carine Karitini Doganis, an expert in the area of management auditing.
