On Thursday, Vice President Dr. Mohamed Waheed officially launched the Clique College’s new degree programme. The new degree programme is taught in partnership with Heriot-Watt University.
At the function, the Vice President thanked the management of the Clique College for introducing a degree programme that allows students to complete final year abroad.
The VP pointed out that one of the biggest challenges faced by developing states was brain-drain. He therefore highlighted the importance of youth engagement in national affairs.
Linking higher education sector’s role in national affairs, the Vice President also touched on the need for finding amicable ways to consolidate democracy in the country.
