New Ambassador of Peru accredited to the Maldives, Javier Paulinich has presented his letter of credence to President Mohamed Nasheed today.
At the ceremony held at the President’s Office to present the credentials, the President congratulated Ambassador Paulinich.
Discussions at the meeting were focused on the bilateral relations between the Maldives and Peru, as well as on ways of further enhancing cooperation between both countries at an international level. At the meeting, President Nasheed updated Ambassador Paulinich on the government’s progress towards mitigating the consequences of climate change in the Maldives and further spoke on how to lobby for climate change.
