President Mohamed Nasheed has visited Haa Alifu Filladhoo, and Shaviyani Milandhoo as part of his tour of some Northern islands he began yesterday.
Meeting Island Councils of Filladhoo and Milandhoo, the President exchanged views with the Council members on proposed development projects for the islands. He also called for the support of the Island Councils in executing government policies.
During his visit to Shaviyani Milandhoo, President Nasheed officially opened Shaviyani Milandhoo Harbour, and inaugurated the Upper North Utilities Company’s Milandhoo Sewerage Project.
