President Mohamed Nasheed has today visited Bilehdhoo Island of Faafu Atoll. Bilehdhoo is the fourth island of the President’s current tour of some islands of Faafu Atoll.
During his visit to Bilehdhoo, the President visited ‘Bilehdhoo Masveringe Gofi’, Bilehdhoo Health Centre, and Bilehdhoo School.
While speaking with the educational staff of Bilehdhoo School, the President underscored the government’s education policy, which consists of providing holistic education in schools, and facilitating higher education opportunities in different regions of the country.
The President also underlined the importance of meeting the socio-economic needs of the people, and spoke on government programmes underway for the development of Bilehdhoo.
