Member of the 11th Standing Committee of Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and Director of Jintai Museum Yuan Xikun has met President Mohamed Nasheed today.
Discussions held at the President’s Office this afternoon were focused on articulating voices for the vulnerable countries facing the challenges of global warming and contributive efforts made by China and Maldives towards a transition to climate neutrality.
During the meeting Yuan Xikun commended President Nasheed’s for his vision towards environmental leadership through his actions and influence. At the meeting, Yuan Xikun remarked on providing Chinese assistance to facilitate the development of Maldives.
During the meeting, Yuan Xikun and his delegation presented national gifts by the Chinese government to President Nasheed.
