Ambassador of Thailand to the Maldives, Thinakorn Kanasuta has paid a farewell call on President Mohamed Nasheed this afternoon.
At the meeting held at the President’s Office, discussions were held on the close mutual relations between the two countries and ways to further strengthen the association.
President Nasheed expressed his gratitude for Thai investors’ contribution in the private sector of the Maldives, and highlighted on the Maldivian merchants’ preferences for Thai market and products.
The meeting was attended by Chief of Staff at the President’s Office Ahmed Mausoom and Additional Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr Hussain Niyaz.
