Honourary Consul of Maldives in Salisbury David Hardingham has paid a courtesy call on President Mohamed Nasheed.
Discussions at the meeting, held at the President’s Office, were focused on maintaining strong links between the people of Maldives and Salisbury in order to promote good relations, trade and development in the Maldives.
The President and the Honorary Consul also exchange views on allocating overseas volunteer staff to the Maldives to assess the situation and assist in areas for development and trade.
The meeting was attended by Vice President Dr Mohamed Waheed, Chief of Staff Ahmed Mausoom and Advisor on Political Affairs Mohamed Shihab.
