President Nasheed establishes “Technical and Vocational Education Training Authority”

President Mohamed Nasheed has established a “Technical and Vocational Education Training Authority”.

This authority will be administered by the Department of Higher Education, which is under the direct authority of Ministry of Education.

The government made the decision to establish the “Technical and Vocational Education Training Authority” to realise the need for an individual agency to carry out the technical and vocational education training programmes in the Maldives.
