Sri Lankan Deputy Minister of External Affairs Pays a Courtesy Call on the Vice President

Sri Lankan Deputy Minister of External Affairs Neomal Perera has paid a courtesy call on Vice President Dr. Mohamed Waheed today.

Discussions during the meeting held at the President’s Office the Vice President addressed the issues of national security, reconciliation and the promotion of unity and prosperity in Sri Lanka.

At the meeting, Sri Lankan Deputy Minister of External Affairs Neomal Perera expressed the Sri Lankan government’s gratitude for the Maldivian government’s continued support.

In addition, the President and the Sri Lankan Deputy Minister of External Affairs discussed avenues to promote trade collaboration between both countries, especially exploring ways to increase cooperation in fisheries.
