National Exemplary Service Medals and National Service Medals have been conferred to 14 individuals on Independence Day, in recognition of their important contributions to the state and the people of the Maldives. The medals were awarded by President Mohamed Nasheed, at a special ceremony, held at Dharubaaruge at 10 am today.
The President awarded the National Exemplary Service Medal to 8 individuals and National Service Medal to 6.
The National Exemplary Service Medals were conferred to Hon. Ibrahim Hussain Zaki, Hon. Ibrahim Rasheed, Hon. Abdul Sattar Moosa Didi, Hon. Moomina Haleem, Hon. Mohamed Zahir, Hon. Naseema Mohamed, Hon. Mohamed Nooradheen and Hon. Mohamed Zahir Naseer.
The National Service Medals were conferred to Hon. Dr. Abdulla Abdul Hakeem, Hon. Habeeba Hussain Habeeb, Hon. Ahmed Shafeeq, Hon. Maroshi Hussain Kaleyfaanu, Hon. Mohamed Umar Manik and Hon. Sikkage Mohamed Naseem.
At the ceremony, President Mohamed Nasheed extended warm felicitations and sincere congratulations to all recipients of the National Exemplary Service Medals and National Service Medals, in recognition of their significant contributions to the state and the people.
