Cambodian PM’s Special Envoy Pays a Courtesy Call on President

Advisor and Special Envoy of the Prime Minister of Cambodia Ouch Borith has paid a courtesy call President Mohamed Nasheed today.

Speaking at the meeting, the President underscored the strong and vigorous strides by Cambodia towards development.

He said Cambodia’s development provided a strong incentive for the development and progress of other ASEAN countries.

The President also noted the areas in which the Maldives and Cambodia could cooperate and said Cambodia could be a potential development partner for the Maldives.

The Cambodian Prime Minister’s Special Envoy spoke on promoting cooperation in areas of tourism and agriculture between the two countries.

At the meeting the Cambodian Prime Minister’s Advisor and Special Envoy presented a special letter from the Cambodian Prime Minister to the President.

The meeting held at the President’s Office this morning, was also attended by Vice President Dr Mohamed Waheed, Advisor on Political Affairs Mohamed Shihab and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ahmed Naseem.
