The first ever meeting of the Maldives Cabinet to be held out of the capital, Malé has begun in Kulhudhuffushi of South Thiladhunmathi Atoll.
The Cabinet meeting began at 10 o’clock this morning at ‘Bodu Mohamed Hall’ of Upper North Province Office. As usual the morning session of the meeting is organised as a working session, attended by the members of the cabinet, as well as state ministers and deputy ministers.
Discussions at today’s meeting are focused on development programmes planned for Upper North Province.
Highlighting the first meeting of the Cabinet to be held out of Malé in the last Friday’s radio address, the President said today would be marked as a historic day for the country and the government.
