Vice President Uz Hussain Mohamed Latheef attended the Men’s Division final match and closing ceremony of the Beefaan 2026 Volleyball Tournament, held in GDh. Fiyoaree.
Upon his arrival at the Fiyoaree Volleyball Court on Friday evening, the Vice President was received by Faizar Rasheed, President of the GDh. Fiyoaree Council, and Hussain Fayaz, President of the Fiyoaree Association for Community Empowerment (FACE).
Prior to the match, the Vice President highlighted the importance of the tournament in strengthening community bonds and fostering social cohesion among residents.
The Men’s Division final was contested between Dhadimagu Sports and Recreation Club of Fuvahmulah and the Rathafandhoo Volleyball Team. Dhadimagu Sports Recreation Club secured the championship title with a 3–2 victory.
Following the match, the Vice President presented trophies and medals to the champion team. He also awarded individual honours, including highest-scoring player, best player of the tournament, and the title of “King of Beefaan”.
The Beefaan 2026 Volleyball Tournament was initiated by the GDh. Fiyoaree Council and organised by FACE. On Thursday evening, Fuvahmulah’s Ekuveri Funaad Team secured the Women’s Division Championship.
In recognition of his continued support for the association, the Vice President was presented with a commemorative plaque during the closing ceremony.
