The Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to the Maldives, His Excellency Dr Felix Neumann, presented his Letter of Credence to His Excellency President Dr Mohamed Muizzu at a ceremony held this morning at the President’s Office.
The Ambassador was escorted from Republic Square to the President’s Office in a traditional Haiykolhu cultural procession, accompanied by the Maldives National Defence Force Drum and Trumpet Band.
The President accepted the Letter of Credence and formally welcomed His Excellency Dr Felix Neumann as the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to the Maldives.
Diplomatic relations between the Maldives and Germany were established on 5 July 1966.
