President Dr Mohamed Muizzu met with members of the ADh. Omadhoo Island Council, the Women’s Development Committee, and heads of local institutions to discuss the island’s key development priorities. The meeting was held at the Omadhoo School today.
At the meeting, the Council members highlighted the most pressing development needs of the island. As such, they appealed to expedite the stalled water network project of the island as well as a sustainable solution to the issue of erosion. They further noted that the island had an ATM and requested for the installation of a US Dollar ATM. Council members also noted that work needed to be expedited on the harbour and channel projects. Omadhoo Council members thanked the President for the solutions provided for the issues they had raised previously.
President Dr Muizzu assured that the Government would give due consideration to their concerns. He was accompanied by Cabinet ministers and senior officials from State-Owned Enterprises, who provided updates on ongoing development projects
