President Dr Mohamed Muizzu on Thursday attended the ceremony to commence physical work on a new Skate Arena at Usfasgandu in Malé, which will feature a roller-skating track and skateboard park.
Minister of Sports, Fitness and Recreation Abdulla Rafiu officiated the ceremony, with Commissioner of Sports Mohamed Tholal and senior ministry officials also present.
The event saw the participation of many children and young skaters, who showcased their skills, alongside representatives from groups that actively promote skating activities in the Maldives.
