President Dr Mohamed Muizzu met with members of the Hirilandhoo Island Council, the Women’s Development Committee, and heads of local institutions to discuss key development concerns. The meeting was held at the Secretariat of the Hirilandhoo Council.

During the meeting, council members outlined the island’s most urgent priorities. They called for land reclamation and the establishment of a cold storage facility, citing the island’s dependence on the fisheries sector. The council also stressed the need to upgrade services at the Health Centre to meet hospital standards.

The President assured participants that the Government would take their concerns into consideration. He was accompanied by Cabinet ministers and senior officials from State-Owned Enterprises, who also provided updates on ongoing development projects.
