President Dr Mohamed Muizzu met with Th. Kan'doodhoo Island Council, the Women's Development Committee (WDC), and heads of local institutions to discuss key issues affecting residents.

The meeting took place at the Secretariat of the Kan'doodhoo Council, where members outlined the island’s main development priorities. They highlighted the urgent need for harbour expansion and improved access to RTL services, while also calling for the swift completion of delayed projects, particularly the water and sewerage system and the Health Centre. The Council further requested the installation of a fish aggregating device (FAD) to support sports fishing, greater resources for the school, and solutions to ongoing power supply issues. Concerns raised by farmers were also conveyed.

The President assured participants that the Government would give due consideration to the matters raised. He was accompanied by ministers and senior officials from state-Owned Enterprises, who shared updates on ongoing projects on the island through the President.
