President Dr Mohamed Muizzu met with the M. Kolhufushi Island Council, the Women’s Development Committee (WDC), and heads of local institutions to discuss key issues affecting residents. The meeting was held at the Secretariat of the Kolhufushi Council.

During the discussions, Council members outlined the island’s most pressing development needs. They requested the connection of water and sewerage systems to 100 completed houses and the completion of work on the Fenaka building. The Council also emphasised the urgent need for a generator to expand the island’s electricity capacity, as well as a well-equipped library and additional space for the school.

The President assured participants that the Government would take these concerns into account. He was accompanied by Cabinet ministers and senior officials from State-Owned Enterprises, who also provided updates on ongoing development projects.
