President Dr Mohamed Muizzu met with members of the Naalaafushi Island Council, the Women’s Development Committee (WDC), and heads of local institutions today to discuss the island’s key development priorities. The meeting took place at Naalaafushi School.

Council members outlined several urgent issues facing the community, including the need for harbour upgrades, improvements to water and sewerage systems, expanded sports facilities, the establishment of a picnic island, acceleration of causeway construction, the addition of a generator to address electricity concerns, and the resolution of space constraints at the Health Centre.

Concluding the meeting, President Dr Muizzu assured attendees that the Government would address the concerns raised. He was joined by Cabinet ministers and senior officials from State-Owned Enterprises, who provided updates on ongoing development projects.
