President Dr Mohamed Muizzu met with the Kulhudhuffushi City Council, the Women’s Development Committee (WDC), and heads of local institutions to discuss the city’s key development priorities. The meeting took place at the Northern Office Complex.
During the discussions, council members emphasised the need to expedite the construction of the new council secretariat building and the council’s power plant, as well as to resolve outstanding issues related to road projects. They also called for the timely completion of ongoing projects in Kulhudhuffushi City and underlined the necessity of an additional school.
Kulhudhuffushi Hospital highlighted the urgent need for expanded facilities, services, and resources at Kulhudhuffushi Hospital, including additional paramedic staff to ensure efficient patient transfers. The council also requested a sustainable solution for waste management issues.
President Dr Muizzu assured the Council that the Government would give due consideration to their concerns and work towards practical solutions. He also provided updates on ongoing development projects. The President was joined at the meeting by Cabinet Ministers and senior officials from State-Owned Enterprises.
