President Dr Mohamed Muizzu met with the AA. Bodufolhudhoo Island Council, the Women’s Development Committee (WDC), and heads of local institutions today to discuss the island’s most pressing development priorities. The meeting took place at the Bodufolhudhoo Council Secretariat.

During the meeting, the members of the council underscored the significance of a new housing initiative. Concurrently, the Council called upon the Government to address the island’s sanitation challenges, to initiate integrated tourism development, and to designate a picnic island for the benefit of the residents.

The Bodufolhudhoo School emphasised the necessity for a multi-purpose hall, indicating that the institution requires such a facility.

Furthermore, the council urged the Government to undertake the development of the health centre, with the objective of establishing a sixteen-hour operational schedule inclusive of X-ray diagnostic services.

President Dr Muizzu assured the Council that the Government would work towards practical solutions to the issues raised. He also shared updates on ongoing development projects, accompanied by Cabinet Ministers and senior officials from State-Owned Enterprises.
