President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has reaffirmed his Administration’s unwavering commitment to developing B. Fulhadhoo in line with the aspirations of its residents, pledging to advance these efforts in close cooperation with the community.

The President made the remarks this evening while addressing residents of B. Fulhadhoo, as part of his ongoing tour of the inhabited islands of Baa Atoll.

Speaking to the residents, President Dr Muizzu identified the island’s water and sewerage system as the most pressing concern. He assured that work on the project will begin this August, with completion expedited to improve daily life and support broader development.

The President also placed priority on the provision of accommodation for everyone coming to Fulhadhoo for employment purposes. In this regard, he stated that the Government will include the construction of an accommodation block in the 2026 budget for the project.

He further pledged to strengthen healthcare, confirming that work to establish laboratory services at the health centre will begin this year. President Dr Muizzu added that development initiatives in education and sports will be undertaken as needed, and the construction of a new mosque will also be included in the 2026 budget.

Recognising tourism’s central role in the local economy, the President assured that the management of B. Innafushi will be handed over to the Council through a joint management plan developed between Fulhadhoo Council and the Ministry of Tourism and Environment.

Concluding his address, President Dr Muizzu assured that all projects aligned with the aspirations of B. Fulhadhoo’s residents will be implemented swiftly, ensuring their benefits reach the community without delay.
