President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has assured that the Government will take all necessary measures to conduct a thorough investigation into the death of Zakiyya Moosa and ensure that justice is served. He made this pledge while speaking with residents who appealed for justice upon his arrival on the island.

President Dr Muizzu met individually with concerned residents, including members of Zakiyya Moosa’s family, outside the Secretariat of the Holhudhoo Island Council. He listened attentively to their concerns and sought further clarification on the issues raised by the residents.

The President reaffirmed to the family and residents the Government’s commitment to addressing the case with complete transparency and without any obstruction.

The President is currently visiting Holhudhoo Island, the eighth stop on his ongoing tour of the inhabited islands of South Miladhunmadulu Atoll.
