Vice President Uz Hussain Mohamed Latheef attended and officiated the opening ceremony of the North Malé League – Maldives Resort Volley League 2025, where he was received by Mohamed Shaafee, President of the Volleyball Academy of Maldives.
Prior to the opening match, the Vice President interacted with players from both teams, offering words of encouragement and support.
The match featured Meeru Island Resort and One&Only Reethi Rah, with One&Only Reethi Rah emerging victorious in straight sets, winning 3–0. After the match, the Vice President presented the Man of the Match trophy.
The Maldives Resort Volley League 2025 is organised by the Volleyball Academy of Maldives to strengthen bonds of friendship and promote team spirit among resort employees, while also enhancing their physical and mental well-being and improving volleyball skills. This year’s tournament will take place across four zones, with 17 resorts participating.
