The National Awards Committee has announced that a total of 141 individuals have submitted applications for this year’s National Award for Public Service. The deadline for submissions was March 18, 2025.
Following the closure of the application period, the committee has reviewed the employment records provided by nominees and identified those eligible to proceed to the next stage of evaluation. Interview sessions for the qualifying candidates commenced today.
The National Award for Public Service is a prestigious honour conferred by the President to recognise and appreciate employees who have served the Maldives for over 35 years. The award is presented to individuals who have made outstanding contributions to their respective institutions through dedication and professional excellence.
Recipients of the award receive a shield, an honorary badge, and a commemorative certificate in recognition of their long-standing service.
This year’s awards ceremony will be held as part of the official Independence Day celebrations.
