President Dr Mohamed Muizzu emphasised that educating children is the most valuable investment for the country's future. He made the statement during his address to mark the start of the new Academic Year 2025.

In his address, the President reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to strengthening the education sector. He highlighted ongoing efforts to provide more opportunities and training for teachers, create suitable environments for learning, enhance facilities, and support all service providers within the sector. He assured that every child across all islands would have equal access to education, aiming for outcomes that make parents proud.

Furthermore, the President emphasised the importance of collaboration in developing the education sector. He urged the public to continue supporting the progress and success of the field with the same spirit in the new academic year. Additionally, he called for greater cooperation in nurturing children's skills and enhancing their achievements on both national and international stages.

Concluding his address, the President urged teachers and those in the education sector to serve with sincerity and a strong sense of duty. He called on parents to remain patient and dedicated to providing their children with a solid upbringing rooted in quality education. To students, he advised them to take full advantage of opportunities from an early age.
