President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has declared Sunday, March 2, 2025, a Government holiday.
The announcement was made by President’s Office Chief Spokesperson Heena Waleed on her official X account.
The President made the decision following torrential rain and flooding across the country, which have caused hardship for the public.
