First Lady Madam Sajida Mohamed inaugurated dialysis services at Amina Dhiyo Health Centre during a ceremony held at Ihavandhoo School this evening.
Speaking at the ceremony, the First Lady emphasised the significance of improving access to dialysis services in rural areas. She acknowledged that President Dr Mohamed Muizzu is actively working to increase the number of dialysis facilities in the country under his leadership.
Following the inauguration of the dialysis service, she inspected the arrangements for providing dialysis at the Amina Dhiyo Health Centre. Of the six patients on the island that require dialysis, one commenced treatment at the centre today. The centre is equipped for service with nurses and physicians available and ready to assist.
